Hebrews 10:19-25

ENTER IN

This Christmas, the greatest desire of my heart is to share my life-treasure with you.  My treasure, my passion, my glory, my all, is Jesus Christ!  When I was born again 22 years ago, the Lord gave me my life purpose—my call—my longing—my joy—and that is answering and passing on His call to ENTER IN.

Even as my song has three verses, today I see three calls to ENTER IN.  What a glorious, gracious God we have, who would see us in our sin and darkness and call us into His marvelous light!  When the journey began for me 22 years ago, as I met Jesus face to face, I heard Him ask me, “May I look into your heart? Will you let it be revealed to Me and to yourself?”  I stood before the Lord of glory that day, and, with fear and trembling, agreed.  His beautiful compassionate face became my place of judgment, and I was revealed to myself to be full of darkness and sin—“the chief of sinners.”  As I wept and turned to Him in true repentance, He showed me my precious Jesus Christ, shedding His Blood for my redemption.  Oh, glorious day when I knew the truth of my own sin and His precious blood’s atoning!  I fully believed Him in that hour and ENTERED IN to His beautiful kingdom—clean!—washed in the blood of the Lamb!  And so it is with every true Christian.  Are you there?  Do you know that place of repentance and receiving a new clean heart by the washing of regeneration?  I call you, by repentance, to Jesus’ grace and glory!  ENTER IN!  And find new peace and rest!  (John 3:14-21)  (John 10:9-15)

Then comes yet another call to ENTER IN.  Grace upon Grace!  He calls us to recognize and receive by faith, the full work of the Cross.  I ever praise Him for the day I came to know “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”  (Gal. 2:20)  The old man—the flesh—is put off, and the New Man—the indwelling Christ, by the Holy Spirit—is put on.  He baptizes in Holy Ghost and fire, and all is consumed in His Burning Holiness.  Dare we ENTER IN to that awesome holy flame, and let all that has been dear and good and precious to us, be consumed, burned up on the altar of His perfection?  We, who by the constraint of His grace, enter this place so pure, find Jesus there as our Hope and Anchor.  He has entered before us to burn up the bands of our old nature, and to write upon every detail of our life—”Holiness unto the Lord.”   Dear Christian, have you known this glorious life of freedom from self, living holy and wholly for God alone?  Leave all, and ENTER IN!  (Mt. 3:11-12; Eph. 4:22-24; Phil. 3:7-9; and Rom. 6:6-14)

Jesus has called us to ENTER IN by way of faith in His blood!  Jesus has called us to ENTER IN to the Holy of Holies by the way of the cross—baptism in Holy Ghost and fire.  Now there is a third ENTERING IN. Now we know the glorious fact of His entering into us!  Now we also are a pure, holy, and sweet sanctuary for His dwelling!  The Lord Himself lives His holy life in and through us, ever calling others to ENTER IN!  Glorious call!  Glorious provision in our LORD AND SAVIOUR!  Glorious God!  ENTER IN!
